During the autumn semester of 2026, Jiao group welcomed five new members: postdoctoral researchers Chunlin Xiao and Antong Ma, as well as doctoral students Wang Guo, Longxiang Lin, and Haijie Yin.
Chunlin Xiao was born in Deyang City, Sichuan Province. In 2020, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Polymer Materials and Engineering from Qingdao University of Science and Technology. He then pursued doctoral studies at Osaka University under the supervision of Professor Hiroyasu Yamaguchi, focusing on supramolecular chemistry, and was awarded his Ph.D. in Science in 2025. From October 2025 to June 2026, he served as an Adjunct Research Fellow at Osaka University. In July 2026, he joined the Jiao group as a postdoctoral researcher, where his research focuses on the development and application of novel mechanically interlocked polymers.
Antong Ma was born in Benxi City, Liaoning Province. He earned his bachelor's degree from the School of Chemical Engineering at Tianjin University and his master's degree from the School of Applied Chemistry and Engineering at the University of Science and Technology of China. He subsequently pursued his doctoral degree at Renmin University of China under the supervision of Professor Yapei Wang, focusing on silicon-ether-based polymer materials. He was awarded his Ph.D. in July 2026 and joined the Jiao group as a postdoctoral researcher in the same year. His research interests include stable radicals and supramolecular hydrogels.
Wang Guo was born in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. He completed his high school education at Chengdu Foreign Languages School, won first prize in the National Finals of the Chinese Chemistry Olympiad, and was admitted to the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at Peking University through the Strong Foundation Plan. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research on controlled radical polymerization in Jiao group. In June 2026, he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and received honors including the title of Beijing Outstanding Graduate. In September 2026, he began his doctoral studies in the same research group, with research interests in controlled radical polymerization.
Longxiang Lin was born in Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province. He graduated from Jingdezhen No. 1 High School and entered the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at Peking University in 2022. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research on cobalt-catalyzed asymmetric cyclopropanation in Jiao group. In June 2026, he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. In September 2026, he began his doctoral studies in the same research group, with research interests in the construction of novel topological polymers via mechanically interlocked molecules such as catenanes.
Haijie Yin was born in Yongxin County, Jiangxi Province. She graduated from Yongxin Middle School and entered the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Lanzhou University in 2022. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research on the total synthesis of homoharringtonine in Professor Chun'an Fan's research group. In June 2026, she was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and received honors including Outstanding Graduate of Gansu Province. In September 2026, she began her doctoral studies in Jiao group, with research interests in mechanically interlocked polymers.
We extend a warm welcome to all the students joining us, and we look forward to your active participation and outstanding contributions in this new environment.
